Voice In Canada Flash Briefing #320
Alright, so, I confess I did a little shopping as well over the holidays for some more smart home products. And, here was my problem; in my living room and my dining room, I have some lights that are currently on dimmers. And, I tried using the Philips Hue colored light bulbs, but the thing is, I found that the colored light bulbs were while very, very cool, it was more of a gimmick, and I wasn’t using it as much, and it required the extra home hub.
And I wanted something that would be more seamless in something that would work with my TP-Link switches that I already had. So, what I decided to do is, I picked up some of the TP-Link Smart Wi-Fi Light Dimmers, when they were on sale. And I have to say that these are awesome. They are highly, highly recommended.
If you’re looking for a Wi-Fi Smart Dimmer that can be controlled by Alexa, then these are the ones that I would get. You have to put them into the wall. So you replace the current switch on the wall with this switch.
You have to have a neutral wire in the back of the socket, if you’re not sure what that is then it’s probably best to ask someone or ask an electrician, but basically, once you get that setup, it works really, really well, and Alexa is seamless with this.
If you’re interested and you are looking at getting a dimmer that you can control with Alexa, check out the TP-Link Smart Wi-Fi Light Dimmers

And I’ve connected it to groups, so for my upstairs and all my lights, and you can adjust the…, obviously it’s a dimmer, so you can adjust how bright it is. You can adjust how quickly it dims or how slowly it dim. You can adjust schedules and it is really good. The thing that I really like about it, as I have mentioned, is it’s just so seamless.
It seems to work really well. So if you’re interested and you are looking at getting a dimmer that you can control with Alexa, check out the TP-Link Smart Wi-Fi Light Dimmers. If you go to AlexainCanada.ca/Devices, you will find that there on that page with a link and if you choose to purchase it through my link as if you purchase anything through any of my links.
As you may know, I am an Amazon affiliate, I do earn a small commission, there’s absolutely no extra cost to you, but if you choose to use it, then thank you very much. So check out the dimmers. I love them. I’ve got a couple of them and I think you’ll enjoy them too. Alright, take care. Have a good day.
