Voice In Canada Flash Briefing #292
Well, here’s some more evidence that Alexa is taking over the world. As Alexa continues to expand and be seen and heard and available in more and more devices, it just shows that Amazon is doing a very good job of getting Alexa everywhere. There is an article that just came out and this is an auto article about the all-new 2019 Toyota Rav4. And the headline is, the Rav4 gets upgraded capability and improved features.
And when you scroll down and you read through the article, it says that the infotainment features of the Toyota Entune 3.4 include Wifi connectivity, Amazon Alexa and Apple Carplay. But interestingly, there is still no Android.
So, I think of it as a sign of the times when you start to read about this technology, but not necessarily in the technology articles, but in the other sector, so in the vertical.
Toyota is on top of it with the Rav4. So if you’re in the market for a new car and you want to be able to speak to Alexa while you’re going somewhere, you might want to check out the Toyota.
So, now there’s actually a car article and it happens to mention that Alexa’s in the car, like, “Oh yeah, this is a feature that you need to have in your car now” It’s a selling point because people are starting to expect this. And I think that says a lot about us, the consumer, and our expectations of where we’re going to want to have access to our smart personal assistants.

2. Click on “Add Content” and search for “Voice in Canada”.
3. Click on “Voice in Canada” and the Enable button.
