Voice In Canada Flash Briefing #116
Hello hello and welcome to today’s flash briefing. Today I want to tell you a about a new product that is being launched by Sonos.
And here’s the good news. It’s going to be launched in Canada and the United States at the same time.
So hey, awesome. I guess we’re getting a little more respect up here so that’s really great. Anyway, let me tell you about this product.
Sonos is announcing this product called the Sonos beam speaker and basically it is a soundbar but it has Alexa built into it.
The soundbar is perfect for a home theater system, but if you want to be able to control your audio experience by voice, then this may be the way to go.
It will have support for Alexa, like I said, and the users will be able to control their television, there’ll be able to control other smart home devices just like you can with any Echo device around your home.

So it’s pretty cool. Here’s the catch. The price tag is going to be about 499 Canadian.
So interesting that is cheaper than Sonos currently existing home theater speakers, but you know, 500 bucks is not anything to laugh about.
Having said that, if you’re a big Sonos fan and you like Alexa, this may be the product for you.
It’s scheduled to launch on July 17th and you can get all the details about it by actually clicking on the link in the card of the Alexa App.
This is something that I’m going to try to do more of, and that is when you click, when you listen to the flash briefing, a card comes up on your Alexa App and you’ll see some information and there’ll be a link.
And if you click on that, it can take you to a particular link that I think would be useful for you.

Listen on your Echo Device! Easy as 1-2-3!
1. Open your Alexa app and click on the Menu button > Settings > Flash Briefing.
2. Click on “Add Content” and search for “Voice in Canada”.
3. Click on “Voice in Canada” and the Enable button.
