Voice In Canada Flash Briefing #294
Hello and Happy Sunday. I hope you’re having a fantastic weekend. On Sundays, as you may know, I like to answer questions from the community and today’s question is from the Facebook community, and by the way, if you’re not a part of the Alexa in Canada community then check it out. You just go to AlexainCanada.ca/Community
I think I got that right. Anyway, the big question today is from Nancy Woolmer in the community, and she asks, “Does anyone know if I can add a Google Mesh Wifi in my house without it causing any problems with Alexa?” So, first of all, for those of you that don’t know, a Mesh Wifi system is basically a number of different hubs that you position in different places in your home that then essentially vision a blanket of good Wifi covering your entire home.
But in order to do that, you need to have a number of different devices and it’s called a mesh. They work very seamlessly. So if you’re carrying, let’s say a laptop from one room to the other, it makes your internet very stable, and you’re constantly connected to the Wifi.
Now, does that work with Alexa? Well, the answer is simply, “Yes it does” And it doesn’t really matter what manufacturer you are choosing to purchase when it comes to the actual Wifi Mesh system, because as it is right now, I mean, lots of people have different types of devices and manufacturers that provide their Wifi system to their home.
And so I really appreciate the input from those in the community that answered the question. People like Mike Keith and Daniel Walchinsky, Jason, and who else was in there?
… a Mesh Wifi system is basically a number of different hubs that you position in different places in your home that then essentially vision a blanket of good Wifi covering your entire home.

We got Ashton as well asking and participating in that discussion. So that’s great. The bottom line is yes, the Google Wifi Mesh system will work. There was also a suggestion that the people that are looking at getting Wifi Mesh systems might look at the TP-Link system, which is actually on sale now on Amazon.
And so, the bottom line is, the answer is yes, Alexa will work with any Wifi Meshes, and Wifi Mesh systems are the most reliable way of setting up a Wifi system in your home. So there you go. I hope that is helpful to you, Nancy, and I’d love to hear your feedback as well when you go ahead and purchase your Wifi Mesh system and see what you decided to purchase and how you like working with Alexa.
And if anybody is interested in purchasing something from Amazon, I am an affiliate and if you use the link AlexainCanada.ca/Amazon, I do earn a small commission. There is absolutely no extra cost to you whatsoever, but if you choose to do so, obviously, thank you very much for doing that. You don’t have to do that of course.
But if you do, I really appreciate it very much. Have a great rest of the weekend and I will talk to you tomorrow.
