All right, so today I want to tell you about some other Alexa commands that you can use.
If you’ve been listening to the flash briefing for at least a week or so. You know that last week I did a whole bunch of episodes on different types of commands that you can say, well today I want to dive into some entertainment commands.
And as it turns out, Alexa has quite the impressive knowledge when it comes to movies, and there’s lots that you can ask Alexa about when it comes to movies.
So here we go I’m going to run through a whole list of these. Of course you say the name of your device first.
I’m not going to say it here cause I don’t want to trigger your device, but we say Alexa and you can ask what movies are you playing? You can say “what movies are playing tomorrow”.
She knows a lot about movies.
And of course he’s going to give you a movie theaters that are near to where you are located.
You can also say, “Alexa, what is the IMDB” [the internet movie database]. “What is the IMDB rating?” for a particular movie.
You can ask “Alexa who plays in a movie” or “who plays a particular character in a movie”.
And this, it can also be done for TV shows by the way, in a movie or TV show, you can ask “Alexa, what was it, particular actors, first movie”, “what is that actors, latest movie”.
And you can ask “Alexa for a quote from a movie”. So there’s lots you can do. And of course you can generally ask her, just tell me about a particular movie.
And boy, she’s pretty good. She knows a lot about movies. So if you are a movie Fan and you enjoy listening to movies, watching movies and learning about movies, then Alexa can be your companion in this regard.
All right, so check it out, have fun. I think you’ll find that she may know even more about the movies than you do, I know she certainly knows more about movies than I do.

1. Open your Alexa app and click on the Menu button > Settings > Flash Briefing.
2. Click on “Add Content” and search for “Voice in Canada”.
3. Click on “Voice in Canada” and the Enable button.
