Voice In Canada Flash Briefing #342
Alright, let’s get right to it today. This is a pretty cool Easter Egg command episode. Again, briefly, if you don’t know what Easter Egg commands, are there little things that you can say to Alexa that are fun.
Little hidden messages that she can say to you if you happen to ask her the right entertaining type of questions. You can catch all the other previous Easter Egg commands at VoiceinCanada.ca.
Alright, let’s get right to it today. Shall We? Now, I have to set this one up. With the Super Bowl coming up, you know that there’s always a big deal about the different types of ads and commercials that we see. And, if you saw Amazon’s last year, they did an incredible job.
It was really cool marketing where they had this commercial where it was a skit where essentially Alexa had lost her voice, and they had various celebrities come in and pretend that they were going to be the person filling in for Alexa.
Anyway, this time, for the Easter Egg command, I want you to try saying something to Alexa and see the kind of response that you get. Here’s what you say. You say, “Alexa, what is the Amazon Beta testing program?”
You’re going to get a response, and in that response is going to be a code word.

Okay? And then, you’re going to get a response, and in that response is going to be a code word, and I’ll tell you what that code word is now, because she’ll tell it to you, but you got to listen to the whole message to get the gist of everything that’s going on. But basically, the code word is Blue126.
And, you basically have to listen to it, to get a full feel of what’s going on. The reason I want to mention this today is because I think this is actually brilliant, brilliant marketing on the part of Amazon.
They are already starting to generate buzz around their Super Bowl commercial based on interactions that you can actually have with Alexa right now, which is really, really cool. So, I don’t want to tell you too much more, because I think you should try it out on your own. Have some fun with it.
So again, to get you started, just say, “Alexa, what is the Amazon Beta testing program?”, and see where that takes you. Alright. Talk to you later.
