Voice In Canada Flash Briefing #436

Hello, it’s Teri here with your flash briefing on Tuesday. So, if you’ve been following along, you know that on Tuesdays I release a podcast episode, and I’m switching things up a little bit here, just for this week, because I was actually away last week on holiday, and I had the chance to have some great family time, rest, relax, and it was fantastic.

But today what I want to tell you then, is that Amazon has a very interesting offer, and this is their way of really competing with what Google has been offering in terms of the partnership with Spotify and offering Google Home Minis for a very inexpensive price.

Here’s the deal. Amazon is now offering Echo Dots, the third generation Echo Dots for $9.99, for 10 bucks, if you happen to be an Amazon Music Unlimited member.

So here’s the way it works, and I’m telling you this based on reports, I have not experienced this personally, but essentially, what Amazon has said, is that they are targeting family members that are part of the family account, but not necessarily the account holder themselves.

I would jump on this offer, because you will never see this price for an Echo Dot.

And so what’s happening is, Amazon is sending an email to these particular people, and the email says, “As a thank you for being an Amazon Music Unlimited listener, we are pleased to offer you the Echo Dot third generation for $9.99”, and it goes on to describe a little bit about that.

So, normally, these are priced at $69.99, 70 bucks. So, if you happen to be one of the lucky ones to get this email, I would jump on this offer, because you will never see this price for an Echo Dot. It’s really, really impressive.

And basically, Amazon further says that the unique claim codes that will be provided must be used by May 26. So again, if you’re one of the lucky people that got this, then I’d love to actually hear about it because as I mentioned, this is all through reports and I haven’t experienced it personally.
