Alright, so here we go. Another product to tell you about. This is another one of the new Amazon products that were released a couple of weeks back now, and this is the first chance I’ve had to actually tell you about it. There’s been so much going on. Anyway, this one is the Amazon smart plug and this isn’t the first smart plug that’s out there by any means.

In fact, I own some of the other smart plugs, but the real selling feature according to Amazon, of this plug, is that it is the easiest one to set up through voice. So, first of all, what is the smart plug? If you don’t know, it basically allows you to control anything that you plug into an outlet through your voice. So it’s a little plug, a little outlet, that you plug into a wall socket, and then whatever you plug into the smart plug can be controlled by your voice.

This could be a fan, it could be a coffee maker, it could be a fish feeder, it could be anything. And, the way you set this up, is you simply plug in the plug (at least the Amazon one), you plug in the plug into the outlet, and then, according to the promotional material that Amazon puts out, it might automatically parrot or essentially set it up automatically, and then you’ll just ask Alexa for smart home control.

It’s a little plug, a little outlet, that you plug into a wall socket, and then whatever you plug into the smart plug can be controlled by your voice.

If it doesn’t, then you go into your Alexa app, you basically ask it to find the plug through your Wifi system, and then you just ask for smart home control, and everything else is set up by voice. Really simple.

So the cost of this plug is $34.99. Again, it’s on pre-order, but it is going to be available very soon. In fact, on October 11th, which by my calculation is tomorrow. And, there you go. All of these things that we’ve been talking about are available tomorrow.
