Voice In Canada Flash Briefing #622

Welcome to another day of Easter Egg commands. You can check them all out at VoiceinCanada.ca. Today, I’m going to give you a couple of commands that you can say.

One of them is for fun, for entertainment purposes, and some of them are actually quite practical tips that I wanted to let you know about today.

So let’s get right to them. Alright, the first one that you can say is, “Alexa, what’s up?” And this is actually a quick way of accessing your flash briefings.

Basically, the list of flash briefings that you subscribe to will start to be played for you when you simply say, “What’s up?’ And, quick little plug here.

If you’re not subscribed to my other flash briefings, you might want to check those out at VoiceFirstHealth.com. Bunch of different health tips.

Another thing that you can say, is you can say, if you want to change the units for something, “Alexa, switch the temperature units to Fahrenheit”, or “Switch the temperature units to Celsius.”

Some of them are actually quite practical tips.

Amazon Alexa Easter Egg Commands 72

Pretty neat. And if you want to hear your temperature in the other units, that’s an easy way to do it. And finally, this one’s entertaining, it’s informative.

I think it’s a good little command. And it’s, “Alexa, give me a quote.” And what’s interesting is, Alexa’s voice changes to a male’s voice that actually says the quote.

Now, it’s not the actual voice of the person saying the quote, but it is a different voice.

And I find that interesting, just from a programming perspective that, Amazon has chosen to do that with Alexa because it shows a distinct, you know, a very distinctive break between what Alexa saying, and when Alexa is quoting someone.

So I’m curious to see if we’re going to see that more and more in the future when Alexa’s referring to something that somebody else said, and then she will say it in a different voice.

So anyway, check those out. There’s actually lots of quotes there. You can say it multiple times and enjoy that command. Talk to you again tomorrow.
