Voice In Canada Flash Briefing #130

So here’s another interesting little tidbit about Alexa that I recently discovered. As you may know, Alexa is currently available and is in actual fact coming with certain PC computers, specifically HP, Lenovo, and Acer computers. But, if you’ve got a PC and you’re interested in getting Alexa on your PC, it is possible to do that as well.

And, there’s a simple file that you need to download, and if you click on the “more” button on your Alexa app, that is associated with this flash briefing, this will take you to an article which will have the information about how you can get this file, but basically, first you download this file and you install it on your computer.

If you’ve got a PC and you’re interested in getting Alexa on your PC, it is possible to do that as well.

Alexa on your PC

And, once you’ve got it installed, you will have the little Alexa icon down in your taskbar, and you have the option of keeping it there. And, then you have Alexa in your computer, and it’s got just about all the functionality that Alexa normally has, with the exception of the fact that it doesn’t actually respond to the wake word.

You have to click on a button like it’s not ready to just listen to you. But, nevertheless, if you are interested in getting Alexa onto your computer, then this is the way to do it, particularly if you have a PC. So, give it a try. I don’t have a PC, but if you have a PC, give it a try and I’d love to hear how it works for you.

Give me some feedback, and let me know. Alright? Try it out. Take care.
