Alright, so here’s one topic that I find absolutely fascinating. And this is the whole idea of Alexa being able to learn using the artificial intelligence that she is, you know, designed to use, but to be able to become more receptive to what you want to know and how she can learn more from what you were saying. So I want to give you a couple of examples.
There was an article that came out not too long ago and this shows some of the features or some of the intelligence that Alexa is able to pick up on. So, let’s say that you wanted to say to Alexa, “Alexa, get me a car” and what you are really meaning of course is that you are subscribed to some type of ride-sharing service.
Now, Alexa has now been designed and is learning that when you say that, you’re actually saying, can you get me a car, you know, as a member of this ride sharing service.
She is becoming much more aware of the context in which you were saying things, which is all part of the development of the AI.
And now, she can understand that. Another example is say you’ve got one of those Roomba robot vacuums. In the past you’ve had to say, “Alexa, ask Roomba to start cleaning” Now, you can say, “Alexa, start cleaning” and she’ll understand.
So, she is becoming much more aware of the context in which you were saying things, which is all part of the development of the AI. Anyway, I find this absolutely fascinating. Try it out, see what kinds of things you discover.
I think this is a really, really neat thing that Amazon and Alexa are doing. I will talk to you tomorrow with some Easter Egg commands. Talk to you then.

2. Click on “Add Content” and search for “Voice in Canada”.
3. Click on “Voice in Canada” and the Enable button.
