Voice In Canada Flash Briefing #69
Good morning or good afternoon or good evening or whenever you’re listening to this flash briefing.
I hope you’re having a great day. Today I want to tell you about a feature that unfortunately is not available in Canada but it is available to our friends in the United States and it’s making big, big news and hopefully we’ll be in Canada soon.
But this feature is called Alexa blueprints and it is a way for anybody to create skills very, very simply.
This is a basically template made by Amazon that allows you to set up your own private skills.
That’s the key here. So these ones are not going to be available on the public skills store on Amazon.com, but they are skills that you can create for your own entertainment.
Whether they be little quizzes or jokes or whether they’re references for people that may be in your home, such as a babysitter or a pet sitter, or if you run a sort of an Airbnb or bed and breakfast.
You can create these customized personalized skills so that the people that are using your home can ask Alexa questions that may be useful for them to know the answers to.
And I think this is really neat the reviews that I’ve heard about it so far are that it is excellent.
It’s very easy to use but unfortunately it’s not Canada here, but it’s been all over the Internet and I wanted to mention it and I also wanted to mention it because we have a lot of listeners to this flash briefing that are in the States as well.
It is a way for anybody to create skills very, very simply.

And along those lines, I do want to recognize one person who left a review on the Amazon.com skill store for the Voice in Canada flash briefing and it’s one of the most comprehensive reviews that I’ve received and it really means a lot to me.
So this is by a person with nicknames Shuttle Pod One and they write, “I do not live in Canada but started with an Echo this past December. So I’m learning right along with this flash briefing and the associated podcast. The flash briefing is upbeat and gives fun ideas and is a great flash briefing for the first thing in the morning. I have this as my first. News isn’t exactly always fun to wake up to, but this flash briefing simply hits the spot. I recommend this for all Alexa users. It seems like every morning, as soon as my briefings are over and if I can’t wait, I just skipped the rest of the briefings I try something I learn from Voice in Canada. Even if you are a longtime user, I think you’ll learn new things with this briefing”.
Wow, all I can say is thank you so much Shuttle Pod One, I wish I knew what your real name was, but that is really, really appreciated and it really means a lot to me to hear that kind of feedback.
So thank you, thank you, thank you. I can’t thank you enough and for anyone else that is inclined to leave a review either on the Canadian Amazon skill store or the American skill store for the flash briefing.
Again, it’s very much appreciated and I will do my best to get around to reading all these reviews.
It helps the skill, the flash briefing to be found by other people who can benefit from it and for that, I thank you very much.
Have a great, great day and I will talk to you tomorrow.
