Hey there, hope you’re doing well. It is Sunday and as you know on Sunday I like to answer questions from the community and today’s question comes from Michael Ours last initial and he sent me a message and he said, “Thanks for the Info on the FAQ section.
I was able to create an Amazon.com account and be able to unlock all the cool features for Alexa. (Now, just as an aside, why would you do that? Well, because if you do that, you do have access to the US features that aren’t here in Canada.) Anyway, he goes on and he further asks, well, now if I want to order something from the US but have it delivered to Canada through my Amazon.ca account through Alexa, can I do that?”
Well, that’s a really great question, Michael. Here’s the bottom line.
You lose essentially the geographic type of features.
It’s a short answer. Unfortunately, the answer is no, you can’t. That’s a good example of one of those features that you will then lose if you choose to gain the other features of converting your Alexa account over to a US account.
You lose essentially the geographic type of features that would be tied to where you are located, whether it’s getting things shipped to your address, whether it is your current weather at your current location, those sorts of things.
So you have to make a decision, are you going to have the US features, but lose some of the local features, or are you going to keep the local features but lose out some of the broader features. Anyway, thanks for the very much for the question, Michael.
