Voice In Canada Flash Briefing #27

Hello, it’s March 17th and you know what that means, today is Saint Patrick’s Day. So if you are celebrating in any way I wish you the best and that’s what today’s flash briefing is all about.

I want to share with you some of the things that you can say to Alexa and to maybe just enjoy St Patrick’s day just a little bit more.

So is a couple of commands here that I have that I’ve tried with Alexa. I’m not going to tell you what she says. You got to go discover this for yourself.

But first one is if you’re not exactly sure what Saint Patrick’s Day is, just ask her “Alexa, what is Saint Patrick’s Day?” and she will tell you, you can also ask her “Why do we celebrate Saint Patrick’s Day?” and then if you want something a little bit more lighthearted, you can say, “Happy Saint Patrick’s Day”.

I’m not sure that I totally understand why the Limerick is associated with Saint Patrick’s day.

St. Patrick's Day

You can say, “Alexa, tell me a St Patrick’s Day joke” and I recommend doing this one. Oh Gosh, I did it probably about half a dozen times and I got a different joke each time I did it.

So, I don’t know exactly how big her repertoire is, but there’s something for you to have a look at. You can also ask Alexa, “Alexa, do you celebrate Saint Patrick’s day” and see what she has to say.

And then you can also say, “Alexa, tell me a limerick”. To be honest, I’m not sure that I totally understand why the Limerick is associated with Saint Patrick’s day other than I believe there’s a place in Ireland called limerick.

But if anybody can enlighten me about that, I’d be happy to learn about that as well. But in any case, asked Alexa to tell you a limerick and she will do so.

So they are just a couple of fun things that you can try today that may make your Saint Patrick’s day just a little bit that much more fun.

And I recommend you give it a try. See what Alexa has to say and do this for all holidays cause she’s always got something up her sleeve. All right, talk to you again tomorrow. Have a great day.
