Voice In Canada Flash Briefing #19
All right, so today I want to do a very quick product review and this is the first product review that I’m doing as part of the flash briefing series.
And the one I want to talk about today is the TP link, smart WiFi light switch. You can actually find this on the website @AlexainCanada.ca/Devices or @AlexainCanada.ca/Deals.
But basically I choose to get this smart switch when I was looking at first setting up my home automation lighting because I wanted a switch on the wall because if you put a light bulb in the socket, then you can only really control that when the power is still on, when that switches on.
If you turn the power off, you can’t control it. Now, that might not be an issue for you and a lot of people really like the light bulbs and for sure they’re the easiest to put in.
But I wanted to control of the switch all the time. So now because the switch is wired in, it allows me to be able to control the lights for that room through the switch, but also through Alexa and through the App on the phone.
So it gives me the most options. It’s very, very simple to use. It’s a fantastic App. I truly recommend the switch.
I think it’s very good value. It’s definitely not the most expensive one.
The only catch I suppose is that you do have to be able to install the light switch.

It works through WiFi, so you do not need any type of hub for it. The only catch I suppose is that you do have to be able to install the light switch.
There’s a very, very clear instructions given in the App that walks you through how to do it.
But obviously if you’re not sure what you’re doing, then you would want to get somebody who does know what they’re doing to install it for you or an electrician.
Obviously, you know, I’m not an electrician so, you know, make sure you do all the normal safety precautions.
Turn off the power when you’re doing it, but it is quite easy to do. And when it’s set up, it’s fantastic.
It truly is and so I’ve now got six of these in my home and I plan to add more because I think they’re so great and such great value.
Check them out I’ve got a link to it. You’ll see the TP link, smart WiFi light switch @AlexainCanada.ca/Devices or @AlexainCanada.ca/Deals either way, check it out and let me know what you think.
And if you’ve tried this one, I’d be curious to hear your feedback as well. All right, take care. Talk to you tomorrow.
