Voice In Canada Flash Briefing #466
Hey there, welcome to the flash briefing. It’s Teri Fisher here, and today I’ve got some news for you, particularly if you own an LG TV made in 2019 or 2019 model.
Here’s the news, Alexa is now built into these TVs such that you can now control your LG TV by voice, without having to use an external speaker. Here’s the quote that the LG executives published with regards to this news.
They said, “With the Alexa app, owners of compatible LG TVs can ask questions, control smart home products, access Alexa skills, and more. All without the need for a separate external device. An LG 2019 TV can understand hundreds of voice commands and handle requests of greater complexity than ever before, thanks to more advanced technology that they’re calling LG ThinQ AI conversational voice recognition technology.”
You can now control your LG TV by voice without having to use an external speaker.
Whew, that was a mouthful, but you get the idea. It’s pretty cool. If you own an LG TV 2019 module, this is rolling out this month in May. At least that’s when they’re saying it’s going to be out.
It’s going to be up by the end of May. This flash briefing is going out at the end of May. So I would think that by now you should have access to this. So it is pretty cool.
If you do wanna use Alexa with your LG 2019 TV, you must download the Alexa app from the TVs app store, and then you should be good to go. So if you’ve got a TV, hey, take advantage of this one. Alright, talk to you tomorrow.

1. Open your Alexa app and click on the Menu button > Settings > Flash Briefing.
2. Click on “Add Content” and search for “Voice in Canada”.
3. Click on “Voice in Canada” and the Enable button.
