So have you ever wondered, how does Alexa learn all the new stuff that’s going on?
How does she continue to grow and how does she continue to become more intelligent?
Well, there’s two parts to the answer. One is that a lot of what’s happening is in the cloud.
So a lot of it is not stored locally on Alexa and a lot of the processing is not going on locally in the actual device.
Most of it, like I say, is going on in the cloud. So when you say that wake word, the command that you’ve given to Alexa is sent to the cloud is interpreted by the Alexa cloud voice service and then sent back for her to then take action on that command.
Now having said that, there is some amount of software on the individual devices, which allows it to know when you’re saying the wake word and so on.

If you’re having problems with Alexa behaving in some weird way the first thing you should know is that Amazon does push these of to updates to Alexa on a regular basis through your WiFi.
But again, if something’s not working properly and you want to force the software update to Alexa, the way you would do that is very simple.
You just hit the mute button on top and you let her sit there for 30 minutes to 60 minutes and she gets updated to the latest software version.
So that’s something that you can try if you know, if you unplugged it and plugged back in and that didn’t seem to solve any problems, you can try this little trick here to have her update to the latest version of the software.
Hopefully you don’t need to use this feature, but it’s there if you need it.

2. Click on “Add Content” and search for “Voice in Canada”.
3. Click on “Voice in Canada” and the Enable button.
