Voice In Canada Flash Briefing #95
All right. If you are an android user and you love Alexa, listen up because this particular flash briefing is just for you.
This one is all about how you can make Amazon Alexa, you’re default assistant on your android device and this is pretty cool.
So you have the choice now if you want Alexa to be the one that running your assistant world on your device.
So the way you do this is very simple. All you do is you download the Alexa App from the Google play store and then you install it on your phone.
You log into your Amazon account using your username and your password, of course, then you go to your phone settings, you go to your apps and notifications advanced and then the assist app. And you choose Alexa from the list. And there you go.
You can’t summon Alexa just by saying her name.
If your phone is one of the newer versions of the Samsung phone, by the way, you can just go to settings and search assistant and you’ll find the correct menu.
But now when you open Alexa for the first time, it will ask if you want to interact with Alexa by voice.
You’ll be asked to give some permission to your smart phone speaker and the microphone and then you are all set.
The only thing that you can’t really do is that you can’t summon Alexa just by saying her name.
You actually have to press the home button like for a long press and then it activates the device so that Alexa is now listening to you.
So I think it’s pretty cool. There you go. Give it a try. And if you have been looking for a way to get Alexa on your android device, then look no further.

1. Open your Alexa app and click on the Menu button > Settings > Flash Briefing.
2. Click on “Add Content” and search for “Voice in Canada”.
3. Click on “Voice in Canada” and the Enable button.
