Voice In Canada Flash Briefing #442
Hey there. It’s Teri Fisher here with your flash briefing for Monday. And I’ve got a pretty cool little bit of news for you. It’s kind of a fun one today. And, this all has to do with some records that were broken in terms of streaming music through Alexa.
Here is the deal. If you’re a Taylor Swift fan, you may already know this, but Taylor Swift released a new single called “Me”, and it was streamed so much in the first day through Alexa that it actually broke two new records, and Amazon Music tweeted out, I’m going to read you the tweet.
It says, “Congrats to Taylor Swift for putting Me in Awesome. Me broke two records for most first-day streams and on-demand voice requests with Alexa than any other single debut on Amazon Music.”
Me broke two records for most first-day streams and on-demand voice requests with Alexa.

I think that’s pretty cool. And in fact, Amazon then took advantage of this, and they put out huge billboards with, you know, a picture of Taylor Swift, and in the bottom, the command and what you can say to Alexa to get her to play the single.
So if you want to hear it, you simply have to ask Alexa to play the new Taylor Swift song, or to stream me, and you’ll enjoy it. I had to listen to it. Actually, it’s pretty good. It’s pretty catchy. So check it out.
And, by the way, if you want to get a free trial to Amazon Music, and that is included with Amazon Prime, you just go to AlexainCanada.ca/Prime. That’s my affiliate link.
There’s no extra cost to you, and in fact, you can get a free trial there. And, if you choose to use it, hey, fantastic. So enjoy it. Check out “Me” Talk to you tomorrow.
