Voice In Canada Flash Briefing #150
Hello there, hope you are enjoying all of your new toys from the recent Prime Day.
Now that you’ve got a bunch of new Echo devices, I wanted to go over some commands that you can use, particularly when it comes to notifications.
And these also a very useful, if somebody has sent you a message through your Echo devices.
Now if you want to learn more about how to do that, I did a whole podcast about how you can use your legacy devices to stay in touch with each other and you can access that @AlexainCanada.ca/34.
Now, how do you find out your notifications? Well, the first thing is if there’s notification, typically your Echo device will have some type of yellow light flashing around the top. And that’s basically the indication that there’s something there.
It’s kind of like your voicemail you know, indicator that there’s a message for you. And then what you can say to Alexa to get those notifications pretty simple.
You can say, Alexa, what did I miss? You can say, Alexa, what are my notifications? And then you can scroll through them if necessary by saying Alexa next or Alexa previous.
Commands that you can use, particularly when it comes to notifications.

And you can of course, delete your notifications to by saying, Alexa delete my notifications.
So pretty simple, it almost operates like a voicemail, but you control it through voice.
So pretty cool. So those are a couple of simple little commands you can use when you had notifications.
Now the other thing that I just want to briefly touch on again are the reviews. I did receive a couple of reviews in the last little while and I thank you so much for those reviews.
They really help the flash briefing to get discovered by other people and one of them was by Sandra rat. That’s the nickname Sandra.
And this was done in the last month or so. And the review says, “I’ve learned so much about my Echo from having Voice in Canada as part of my flash briefing and it’s completely tailored to Canadian users. Teri’s tips and tricks have really enriched the Alexa experience for me”. And I like that she’s got the Alexian quotes.” I’d recommend this skill and the AlexainCanada.ca website to anyone who wants to make the most out of their Echo devices. Keep up the amazing work”. Thanks so much.
Again, that means so much to me. It means the world to me. And I’m really, really glad that you are enjoying the flash briefing and the website.
So thanks so much. If you are inspired to write a review for me again, I really appreciate that as well. So stay tuned for tomorrow.
We’ve got some other great questions coming up. I’m going to answer a question from the community tomorrow and I will talk to you then. Have a great day.
