Voice In Canada Flash Briefing #417
Hey there, how are you doing? It’s Teri here again with your flash briefing for today. And today, I have a little bit of a rumor to tell you, a little of speculation, and I’d be curious to actually know if you want me to continue giving these stories to you because this isn’t actually launched yet and this is a rumor.
However, here’s the deal. It is rumored that Amazon is working on developing its own video news apps for the Fire TV, and that would allow people to access both live and on-demand news broadcasts, and of course, how does this tie in with this flash briefing and Alexa?
Well, this would be a controllable through voice, through Alexa, through your Fire TV that has the remote with Alexa built in, or if you have an Echo device in that same room as your TV, and you’ve paired it with your Fire TV, then of course you can just simply speak without even using the Fire TV remote.
It’s been said that with people…, you know, ditching their cable subscriptions for their TVs, and looking into streaming video.
That would allow people to access both live and on-demand news broadcasts.

One of the problems with this has been getting accurate and up-to-date news and sports. And I think this is Amazon’s attempt to really go after that market. So, it’ll be interesting to see if that comes along.
If it does, I think it’s great move, and of course, Alexa will be ready to control your TV and tell you about all the news when it’s there. So, we’ll have to see how that goes. That’s what’s coming up.
Now, I want to, as usual, give another shout out to the latest person to leave a review on the flash briefing. Joanna Granville, she gave it five stars and she wrote, “Everything. Such helpful information every day.”
Thank you, Joanna. Thank you very, very much. I really, really appreciate that. And again, if anybody else would like to leave a review, you just go to VoiceinCanada.ca. You click on the red button, leave a review, and that’s all there is to it. Talk to you tomorrow.
