Voice In Canada Flash Briefing #402
Alright, I’ve got some news for you on this Wednesday. We have a new product that is finally here in Canada. Actually, it will be here tomorrow, in Canada, that has been in the United States for a while.
And that is the Amazon Echo Input. So what is the input? Well, think of it this way. It is an Echo Dot without the speaker. So, why are you asking, would I want an Echo Dot without a speaker.
Here’s what you would use it for. You would use this if you want to pair an Echo (so you want the Alexa functioning), if you want that to be able to be paired with a speaker that you already have, or if you have a really nice home audio system.
You don’t need the speaker on the Echo Dot, because that speaker is obviously going to be of much poorer quality compared to your nice home audio system or your nice speaker.
So, what you need, is you need a microphone to talk to Alexa, but then you want the output to come through your speaker or through your home audio system. And so you can pair the Echo Input with your own audio speaker through Bluetooth or through an audio out jack.
It is an Echo Dot without the speaker.
And so, this is the perfect device if you, as I said, have a speaker that you want to use. Now here’s the thing. This is available as of tomorrow. Today, you can pre-order it on Amazon.

Listen on your Echo Device! Easy as 1-2-3!
1. Open your Alexa app and click on the Menu button > Settings > Flash Briefing.
2. Click on “Add Content” and search for “Voice in Canada”.
3. Click on “Voice in Canada” and the Enable button.
