Voice In Canada Flash Briefing #360

Hey there, hope you’re doing great and you are having a fantastic Wednesday. Today, I want to tell you a little bit of news about what’s going on with televisions and voice assistants.

It’s no surprise that Amazon is putting Alexa in all different places, including televisions, and already Alexa is in a couple of different brands, but what I wanted to tell you is that there’s a study that was just put out by Juniper Research, and they’re based in the UK.

And, it says that smart TVs are projected to be the fastest growing category of voice assistant technology, and it’s expected to expand at a pace of more than a 100% compound annual growth rate over the next five years. That’s crazy growth.

And, when you combine that with what we already know is going on with voice assistants, it is estimated that there are going to be 8 billion digital voice assistants in the market by 2023, and that’s up from an estimated 2.5 Billion at the end of 2018.

Incredible, incredible numbers. So, you know, as far as Alexa, Alexa is a leader in this space. It’s the most common featured voice assistant on connected devices.

And, you know, when we have 8 billion devices, what’s being predicted, is that we’re actually going to see a decrease in the amount of money that is being made in mobile apps because more people are going to be interacting with their electronic devices through voice.

If you have an app, and you’re not thinking about voice, this is a little wake-up call to you.

Alexa Coming to More TVs

So, if you have an app, and you’re not thinking about voice, this is a little wake-up call to you. It’s time to start thinking about voice. So there you go, alright. That’s what’s going on. It’s going to be an interesting couple of years.

Now finally, as promised, whenever I do get a rating for this flash briefing, I love to give shout-outs, because I think that’s the least I can do to thank you for putting in the effort, taking the time to do the review.

And, the shout out I want to give today is to Sarah, who gave this flash briefing five stars, and she writes, “Part of my morning routine. Along with, “Good morning, Alexa” and “What’s the weather today?” I start my day with, “Hey Alexa flash briefing” Your tips and information are interesting and useful. Thanks, Teri. Keep up the great work”

Well, thanks so much, Sarah. I really, really appreciate that, and as I’ve told anybody who has left a review, and including you, Sarah, I really appreciate it. It means so much to me that this work does go noticed, and that it is helping you in some small way.

So if you want to leave a review, of course, you can do that at VoiceinCanada.ca. Just click on the red button, leave a review, and I will be very grateful, alright? I hope you have a fantastic day and I look forward to chatting with you again tomorrow. Take care.
