Voice In Canada Flash Briefing #218
Hey there. I hope you are doing great, to start off your week here this Monday. Today there is a great event going on and I hope that you will be able to join me and the others that have already signed up for it. It is the Vancouver Amazon Alexa Skills Meet Up, and you can just search this online by typing in those keywords; Amazon, Vancouver, Alexa Skills Meet Up.
This was founded by Sean Griffin who was interviewed on the podcast a couple of weeks ago. And, this is taking place here in the Vancouver area. In fact, at the Amazon Vancouver Office at 510 West Georgia Street on the 14th floor.
It’s going to be taking place starting at 6 O’clock and Sean has organized a wonderful program. So from 6 to 6:30, we’re going to be doing some networking. At 6:30 the event will start with an introduction.
At 6:45 there is a featured talk and I’m very honored and privileged to be able to be the person giving that featured talk today. There will be some Q&A after the talk, and then, at about 7:30, there’s going to be demos of three different Alexa skills that are either in development, a Beta or they had been recently released, and then we’ll do some more networking to finish off the evening.

And, it’s going to be a fantastic event. I’m really looking forward to meeting all of the other Alexa enthusiasts and developers, and talking about the technology and seeing what people are doing. Maybe we’ll get some brainstorming going on. Maybe we’ll get some ideas for other skills.
So if you are at all, anywhere in the Vancouver area, I really, really encourage you to come on out. I am really excited to meet all of you. Anybody that can make it out to the event and I am looking forward to a wonderful evening.

2. Click on “Add Content” and search for “Voice in Canada”.
3. Click on “Voice in Canada” and the Enable button.
