Voice In Canada Flash Briefing #330

Hey, it’s Monday. And, today I want to tell you about some products that were released at the Consumer Electronics Show last week in Vegas. Now, as you may know, voice assistants were everywhere. Not only Alexa but Google assistant, but there were lots of products that were announced that are new on the scene, and one of them, get this, if you are into the royal flush, then there is now a toilet with Alexa built in.

This is made by Kohler. And, their model is the Numi 2.0 Intelligent Toilet. And, there are too many puns and too many jokes that we can make about this, but let me tell you what this thing does, and it’s not cheap. I’ll tell you about the price at the end. First of all, it’s square, so it looks much more modern.

It has lights that are underneath that are programmable through an app so you can change your experience, and as Kohler likes to mention, it makes your bathroom excursions an immersive experience.

It’s got a motion sensor so it raises and lowers the lid by itself. It senses how long you are using the toilet so if you’re using it for less than 45 seconds when it flushes it will save you some water.

There is a self-cleaning bidet inside and it’s got a jet of hot air that shoots out underneath to your feet to keep your feet warm. So, I guess when it comes to going to the bathroom, this is an immersive experience, and of course, on top of all of this, it’s got Alexa built in.

So you can talk to your toilet, you can get music playing through Bluetooth, you can say whatever you want to Alexa while you’re doing your business. So, there you go. The price tag, well, just a cool $8,000 for the black version and a much more reasonable $7,000 for the white version.

There you go. And just before I started off today, I want to give a shout out to two people that have left reviews for the flash briefing. Again, very much appreciated. Always appreciated. Both of these came in on January 4th.

There are too many puns and too many jokes that we can make about this, but let me tell you what this thing does.

Kohler Toilet with Alexa

One was from Stephanie Barker, she wrote, “Keeps you updated with all things Alexa, five stars and it’s an amazing flash briefing to give you the quick daily updates in all things Alexa from sales to Easter Eggs and top-rated amazing skills. A must for those wanting to learn more about what Alexa can do” So thanks so much, Stephanie.

I really, really appreciate those kind words. And then we have another review from Thomas Day, a five-star review, and he writes, “Love the daily tips, something new every day” Well, that’s my goal. Thank you to both of you. There are more reviews that have just come in and I’m gonna highlight those in the next couple of flash briefings as well.

I really want to shout out those that take the time and the effort to leave reviews. If you want to leave a review, very simple, just go to VoiceinCanada.ca, and, of course, I read every single one of them. And finally, one more quick reminder, the Alexa Conference starts tomorrow and I’m really excited. I am at the conference.

I’m going to be doing live podcasts and flash briefings and all that kind of stuff. To follow the action, just go to AlexainCanada.ca/Live, or just make sure you’re listening to this flash briefing every day. Alright, talk to you soon.
