Voice In Canada Flash Briefing #201
Hey there. So it seems that with the momentum of the smart speakers, everybody wants to get in on this opportunity and another company has just entered the smart speaker market, and in fact, well, they will be.
Bose, in fact, is announcing that they are launching a speaker called the Home Speaker 500 and this is going to be available in October, but it has been reported that it is going to have Amazon Alexa support for voice control and it may eventually have other voice assistants in there as well, but for now, we know that Alexa is going to be in there.
It is going to have Bose’s proprietary mic technology. So, they say that it’s going to be able to listen to your commands at an incredible amount of efficiency and with incredible accuracy.
And so, it’s interesting that Bose, one of the obviously leading manufacturers of audio equipment, says that they need to get it on the smart speaker market. This is such an opportunity, as you know, there is so much excitement about this right now and it’s just building and building and building.
They say that it’s going to be able to listen to your commands at an incredible amount of efficiency and with incredible accuracy.
One of the cool things about this Home Speaker 500, is that they say that you don’t actually need two of them to get true stereo separation, you only need one. So that’s kind of cool. And it’s going to be about eight inches high, six inches wide, four inches deep, and it uses sort of two custom drivers pointed in opposite directions.
So, the sounder can reflect off of surrounding walls and it can give you the stereo effect. So, there you go. Kind of interesting. It’s going to be priced at about $400 US. So, it’s not cheap, but if you love your audio and you love Bose, then this may be something for you.

2. Click on “Add Content” and search for “Voice in Canada”.
3. Click on “Voice in Canada” and the Enable button.
