Voice In Canada Flash Briefing #256
Hey, it’s November 1st. Can you believe it? Two more months to go in the year, and then, we are into 2019. I can’t believe how fast time is flying. Anyway, I hope you had a great Halloween yesterday. Today we’re going to talk about Fire TV. And Fire TV is now officially available in Canada. I did mention this, probably a couple of weeks ago now on the flash briefing, but I wanted to let you know that, as of today, you can order all of these products, and, they’re ready for you.
So Fire TV; it’s a service, it’s a hardware device that allows you to stream various video files, and, this can all be controlled by Alexa. So a couple of products that Amazon has available right now. They’ve got some Fire TV edition smart TVs, you can actually get these at Amazon, and at Best Buy. And, they have some Toshiba, 4K, Ultra High Def smart TVs; and Toshiba High Def smart TVs.
There is the Fire TV stick, which is a little hardware device that you can plug into another TV, and that allows you to stream various video services, all the typical ones, Netflix and so on. And, you can control this through Alexa. And finally, you can also get the Alexa voice remote, which allows you to power and control compatible TV and AVI equipment all through voice, through the Alexa voice service. So, there’s actually a lot of products here.
So Fire TV; it’s a service, it’s a hardware device that allows you to stream various video files, and, this can all be controlled by Alexa.
What I would recommend that you do if you’re interested in this, is go and check out the products, and, I’ve made a quick link available for you, to help you do that. You just go to AlexaInCanada.ca/FireTV, and that’ll bring you straight to Amazon where you can have a look at the different products that are available to you. So it’s pretty cool, right? We talked about Alexa powered smart glasses a little while ago, and microwaves, and their power and Alexa is in the TV as well. And, hey, it’s just a matter of time before Alexa is everywhere as I’ve mentioned. So, let me know if you use a Fire TV and if you use Alexa with it. I’d love to know your feedback on that and how the experience is for you. Alright. Talk to you again tomorrow.
