Voice In Canada Flash Briefing #381
Hey there, I hope you are having a wonderful day. It is Wednesday and today I’ve got a little bit of news for you. If you are particularly in the market for a new car, you may be interested in this little bit of news that has recently come out.
Toyota Corolla, so one of the really popular best selling cars, as you know, has now announced that as of 2020, the car now has Amazon Alexa support. So this is pretty cool.
From the article that I was reading, it says the 2020 Corolla sedan comes ready to pair with the driver’s digital life. The standard audio multimedia system includes an 8-inch touchscreen display, six speakers, Apple CarPlay, Amazon Alexa, and Scout GPS link compatibility.
So, there you go. That’s just another car manufacturer in the line of an increasing number of these that are offering Alexa.
One of the really popular best selling cars has now announced that as of 2020, the car now has Amazon Alexa support.
Interestingly, It doesn’t have Google Assistant built in, so I’m not quite sure what the implications are in that, but we are seeing more and more car manufacturers have Alexa built in, which I think is great because, as you know, this voice first world is more and more going to extend from our homes into our cars, and cars are the perfect location for a voice first experience, because of course, you’re driving.
And, so we are going to continue to see more and more skills, I believe, geared, targeted, designed for use while commuting. So there you go. There’s a little tidbit for you.

1. Open your Alexa app and click on the Menu button > Settings > Flash Briefing.
2. Click on “Add Content” and search for “Voice in Canada”.
3. Click on “Voice in Canada” and the Enable button.
