I am looking for inspired community members who can design a creative, innovative, and professional logo for my personal brand, “Dr Teri Fisher”.

Calling all creative Northern Voice Community members!

With all of the different things that I am involved in, I am now looking at developing my personal brand, “Dr Teri Fisher”, which will be the overarching brand for everything that I am doing and all of my assets. These are the elements that should be considered in creating the personal brand.

Please read below for more details regarding logo design, contest rules and submission requirements.

HOW TO ENTER THE CONTEST

The contest begins on March 2, 2020. Submissions will be accepted through March 20, 2019. Winners will be contacted directly, and the selected entry will be announced and featured on the Alexa in Canada and Voice First Health podcast, websites, and social media channels.

All entries must be:

  1. Submitted directly through the Official Entry Form.
  2. Submitted as a high-resolution pdf with 300 dpi or higher. If your submission is selected as a winner, you MUST be able to provide a high-resolution vector file (e.g., in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or InDesign).
  3. Maximum file size is 10 MB.

To enter the Dr Teri Fisher Logo Competition, eligible participants must:

  1. Complete the Official Entry Form
  2. Create a logo design
  3. Briefly describe the symbolism behind your logo design

LOGO REQUIREMENTS

Professional: I am looking for an eye-catching, recognizable, legible design. The logo will be featured on all Dr Teri Fisher communications and various digital and print mediums including the new website, social media platforms, and on stationary, brochures, merchandise and other visual collateral.

Theme: Logo should highlight my brand identify (i.e. Dr Teri Fisher) and the theme of Voice TechnologyAdditionally, adding elements of the values of my brand is encouraged:

  • Positive (Upbeat, Enthusiastic, Energetic, Entertaining, Fun, Approachable, Inspiring, Collaborative)
  • Technological (Forward-thinking, Innovative, Influential, Current)
  • Integrity (Knowledgeable, Trustworthy, Credible, Confident, Professional)

Colour: There are no limitations; any colours may be used. However, the logo must look good in colour, black and white, greyscale, and reverse treatments.

Integrity: Logos cannot contain copyrighted material. Logos must have been created and edited by the contestant(s). Logos may not include images or licensed images. Must be easily reproducible and scalable for large and small formatting.

SELECTION

Logos will be evaluated based on the following criteria:

Relevance – Does the entry align with the theme and mission of Dr Teri Fisher?

Originality – Does the composition exhibit original design, creativity, and imagination?

Aesthetic Quality – Is the submission eye-catching and command attention? Does it display visual balance and colour coordination? Do all the elements work together to create a unified and appealing design?

Adaptability – Is the design conducive to scaling of logo to accommodate different treatments (i.e. electronic application, letterhead, various types of marketing materials, etc.)?

PRIZE

The selected entrant will receive a free Amazon Echo Show 5 (as well as bragging rights!). The entrant’s name will also be featured on the Alexa in Canada podcast, Voice in Canada Flash Briefing, Voice First Health Podcast, and on various social media channels.

CONTEST RULES

  • Individuals or teams may submit no more than five entries (a separate Entry Form must accompany each submission).
  • All submitted work must be the original work of the entrant(s) and must not include, be based on, or derived from any pre-existing or third-party designs, trademarks, or copyrighted images.
  • All entries will become the property of Dr Teri Fisher. By submitting an entry, each entrant agrees that any and all intellectual property rights in the logo design are deemed assigned to Teri Fisher.
  • An entry submission into this competition constitutes permission to use the winner’s name, prize information, and information provided on the entry form for publicity purposes, without further permission or compensation.
  • Dr Teri Fisher may alter, modify or revise the logo as deemed necessary to achieve the goals of the brand.
  • The selected winner MUST submit a scalable vector version of the winning design so that it is adaptable to electronic and print media, to reproduction on small and large surfaces, and to use in colour or in grayscale.
  • Dr Teri Fisher reserves the right not to select a winner if, in his sole discretion, no suitable entries are received.
  • The winning selection will be final.
